@rookie I came to the legal question because of this statement - "Just some human rights activists or LGBT community think in that way, the SC will change its decision in favour of them? Does anybody thinks what the whole country thinks.."
I just wanted to highlight that it's about right and wrong and not about minority and majority. Otherwise why should anybody think of what the whole country thinks. If a statement doesn't convey what one intends, then someone with a different PoV will, in all probability, counter that
@igirit Yes. In fact, the judgment, as you highlighted, that classifies them into separate category shows why the art 15 failed to convince SC as they didn't regard them as equals. As I said earlier, people are not being devoid of "right to equality" for no visible reason. Now, you and me, may consider that reason to be unfair and against natural laws but it does provides legality to the judgment.
