All my IPS , IRS friends getting in the range of 85-100 . marks have surely dipped by 20 this time as compared to last year . you can also refer to clear ias marks to reach a tentative cutoff . Acc to it , cutoff hovers around 15 percentile marks , which is 87 in its poll . But i think 87 seems too less , it may change over next few days , so my final prediction is cutoff to remain in 90-92 range , not more than that . even shankar lower range is 93 , it may be true .
Some r getting 200,190 in it
this happens every year , that some non-serious ones mark there . but weed them out . ans it is not some exact cutoff , just a tentative one , to get an idea .
Are bhaia cut off wahi hota hai jitne doable question hote hain. Mana ki guess se net 4 , 5 question ka fayada hota hai, lekin utne hi question log ganwa dete hain jinko wo concentrate kar ke solve kar sakte the. So guess advantage is nullified for last called candidate in mains except italian khaini.you will find 55+ doable questions in 2017 paper and 60 + in 2016. Agar cut off 100 k as pas rahega to iska matlab hai is sal 50+ doable question the , yani last year se kewal 2 ya 3 question difficult kiye gaye. This is insult to this years paper. Last year aur is sal ke paper ko khud compare karo aur dekho kitne question bina guess ke hue hain. Difference se cut off mil jayega.
i haven't seen such low level of participation and comments on cutoff earlier. haven't seen more than let's say 4-5 people claiming more than 105 with certainty. every question carry 2.67 which is huge in such low cutoff game and that too when 3-4 questions can definitely go either way! my take: 90-93 for General. won't be surprised if it goes down to 88-89. in that case most here are faking or inflating their marks.
