Agar 100+ kuch k hue hain to WO saare Jo lagatar 120+ khel rahe the 90's mein as gaye so maamala balance se jyada 90 ki taraf jhuka.
Ab main @truthteller jaisa kindhearted nhi hoon ...WO solid aur nek banda hai......but be realistic in this hutiyapa of upsc .....

1 grp---------jo low cutoff batata hai jaise ki is baar 84-85 wale 2 group---jahan jforum ki janta khush ho jaati hai maximum-----90-91 waale 3 group--- jisko puri janta gaali dene lagti hai jo ki is baar 99-100 hai
aur cutoff beech mein jaati hai...SDG type so according to trend of forum 95-96
Aur 3-4 Q jyada nhi ...WO to forum ki bakchodi hai Jo rang badlenge hi

Relying shankar is the best bet, in my opinion, to get a general idea about cutoff.. this year too it will be between 98-102
98 as lower limit is too high.. remember we need 5.5k people above it.. last year paper was relatively easy and more no. Of also attended still cutoff was 105.33, this time less no. Of aspirants, relatively difficult paper and surprisingly low scores of veterans also.. So 98 can be in worst case be the cutoff.. It will not cross 100 ..
Hope u r right! But i dont think veterans' score shud be a benchmark for deducing the general performance trend. As u said 5k people above 100 amongst 3 lac who appeared.. i think it is possible.. jus like it was in 2016 when ppl said cutoff cant cross 110
Similarly, straight forward 2016 paper cannot be a benchmark, people were claiming 110 that time, because they thought cutoff increases only by 2-5 marks, there's no relationship with last year cutoff.. if that is the case cutoff this year should be 109..
2016 was surely not a benchmark. I m questioning the cutoff predicting logic used on the threads here. If the logic is sound, it shud atleast yield consistent results each year, like shankar's. But the participants here sometimes seem too biased. I felt this only after going through the thread of 2016 where similar logic was being applied to push the cutoff to 100-105
Tujhe main final cutoff bataye deta hu Gen - 91/92 no more , no less .

Parson bataa rhe the class me ki UPSC ki machine around 40000 OMRs check karti hai ek din me. 3 state of art machines hain UPSC me jo ek mainframe computer se connected hain. 1 OMR sheet 2 baar separately check hoti hai, for minimizing the error. Exam ke baad teeno machines 24*7 chalti hain. 8 ghante ki teen shift me employees ki team kaam karti hain jinka sirf ek kaam hota hai - OMRs ko batch wise machine me load karnaa. Ek baar chaalu hone ke baad 15 din se jyada nhi lagte saari OMRs check hone me.
Iss hisaab se 25 June tak saari OMRs check ho jaani chahiyen.
i don't know what would be the cutoff though I pray and believe it would be closer to 90 but one thing I can guarantee is that out of the 1000+ comments here on this thread, hardly 25-30 people would have commented here. it's primarily the same guys dictating the pace of it depending on their mood on that day. we are blessed to have this forum of brilliant minds. we could've really helped each other but it's not happening. by forcing our thoughts on others we are forcing many others to keep silent.
@mods can we keep this for cutoff prediction only?
