  • Ch 11 (Bipin C.) + Editorial notes
  • Notes consolidation + shortening + revision
  • Dear people, in my 3 years of CSE preparation, I have personally experienced and even have heard every topper saying that answer writing practice is the key of selection. But one crucial thing which has not been stressed upon enough by majority of them is the art of notes making. No one emphasised yet except Mr. Pratham Kaushik (AIR 5 ) and Mr. Utsav Gautam(AIR 33) that before start practicing answer writing , you must know the content pretty well. It must be upon your finger tips, only then you can be able to experiment in the answer in presentation; imagine you are participating in a race and you are confused about the gear pattern of the bike. Mr. Pratham clearly stated that it was his concise notes , 2-3 page handouts on each and every topic which does miracle for him.It is the art of consolidation rather than infinite reading that matters ,by reading a book page by page you are not preparing for the exam in fact you are preparing for the book

  • and seeing my own experiences including 1 mains, I agree absolutely.
Toppers also emphasized on multiple revisions to remember the content but please tell me is it feasible to revise the entire Norman Lowe or reading multiple ncerts again and again. My friends this is definitely a nightmare to even think of it .and even if you go for it ,this is neither efficient nor effective. those who have appeared even once can understand it . So after listening to more than 100s of Toppers I came to the conclusion that-

1). Finish the syllabus as early as possible.
2).Make short notes of the syllabus topics so that you don't have to jump to the entire book for revision which is gruesome and breaks individual's motivation.
3).put the book in a corner and revise these notes only whenever you feel like .
4).Start answer writing only after you get confident about your content base.

  • Keeping all these points in mind I have devised a strategy which goes like - finish the entire static syllabus ( GS 1 AND GS 4 ) + some key topics of GS 2 AND 3, which frequently occur in news, in detail so that I don't have to read them in full the next time they appear in HINDU + relevant quotes, anecdotes and facts for use in essay. This stuff has to be completed in the next 2 months i.e. by end of September. Thisategy is going to be a huge confidence booster and for this purpose I need a very SERIOUS AND A DEDICATED PARTNER( preferably with 1 or 2 attempts). It will help you completing your syllabus on time , the notes made will be shared by both of us and we can soon shift on answer writing which became enjoyable then. So in all respects it will be a win-win situation for both of us. You can also take advantage of my experience and I can guide you as I also have an experience of teaching at unacademy platform.
