well maths cant be compared with humanities. The high marks in anthro might not repeat next year. But maths is performing consistently every year. Taking maths require passion for it. It takes around a year to prepare maths optional. plus you will have to do all maths by self study . You will have to compete with best brains in maths optional.If you have got the real passion & the required aptitude for maths, take it. otherwise humanities option are always open.
In Anthropology, only few rankers hv got high marks, majority still is in average score zone and comparable to many other optionals. So it should not b mistaken that everything is rosy with anthro. There is a dark side of it too.
