Comparative Politics Suggestions

Dear Friends,

I need your valuable suggestions about how to approach Comparative Politics. Before starting this subject I searched thoroughly on net and found a book 'Comparative Politics' by J.C. Johari. Till now I have put best of my effort on this subject but may be because of the way this book is written or the nature of the content of the subject, I could not grasp much of it. I have now realized that I need to change the approach. Any suggestion from you would be highly welcome and beneficial. Do I need any other book, do I need to take IGNOU material or do I need to stick to that book ? What should I need to do now ? Kindly suggest me.

J.C Johari's is still used to cover basics . IGNOU booklets too would help you for the same . However , there are certain international authors who had written well which could help you to deliver UPSC standard perspective . You could search in this forum [ under Political Science tag ] itself , some kind soul had uploaded certain books .

For comparative politics you have to start with IGNOU material and then understand the basics.Then look into the previous year question papers and see how many questions you can answer with your accumulated language.If you can very good and if not then prepare it from these book:
