Hydrocloroflourocarbon are ozone depleting but hydroflourocarbon arent
Plz read the next paragraph of which u have encircled........HFCs are not of exestintial threat to ozone...very very less impact...which is the core of question....they may have very little impact but cant damage is as CFC can do...therefore we replaced CFC with HFC....but later it was realised that HFC are adding up to greenhouse effect...therefore in kigali aggreement it was decided that althought they dont deplete ozone but contribute immensely to greehouse effect hence should not be used henceforth....
Question is not to check the very minute thing....it is to check whether the candidate know about the issue or not...focus the core of question
How come Walmart opening in india a branch a foreign directed investment (Shouldn’t it be considered as an expansion of branch which contributes to GNP)...
It will contribute to GDP not GNP....
And any foreign company investing more than 10 percent in any installations in india is part of FDI.....opening wallmart is 100 percent investment

Just a suggestion in general for you..... 1.think of time paper setters may take to frame a 'single' question, 2.think of resources that aspirants from remotest corner of India have, 3.think of theme "jack of all" one of the ex chairman of UPSC talked about in one of his speech in Pune few years back, 4.think of Syllabus in UPSC notification "...A learned person should know, Which do not require subject specialization" 5.Analyse some contraversial questions from prev UPSC papers and their official keys. Many a time Questions are set from 'a' source without giving it a second thought-like is there any problem/contraversy students can come across due to such questions...e.g. researches differ on "IVC-horse", books differ on "guardian of constitution"...even answers of some basic economy questions which deeply learned person from economy field will think otherwise but UPSC has given answers inline with those with just basic understanding.

+1, wese i thought it was pretty much evident that when you substitute the chloro with hydro , there is no chlorine free radical hence no catalytic reaction to deplete ozone
