Need Advice for changing optional from History to Anthropology

It was my third mains, but my roll no. is not in result pdf. Last year, I knew my mistakes. But this year, it is still mystery for me. But deep inside, I think it is my optional (History) which is reason behind it. I am planning to change History to Anthropology optional. So, senior players from Anthropology optional, please advise @Mitochondria , @bulla

1)Cons of Anthropology

2)Is it possible to cover it in 3 months, if I can devote 4-5 hours day?

3) Best material to subject in shorter span (Brain tree/ Munirathnam Reddy/ Bindu mam)
4) Is it necessary to join class or is it possible to cover Anthropology by self-study???

5) Whatever other things, anyone thinks important, please mention.

same here.. gave one mains with history.. I feel the optional is getting complicated with every passing year.. No matter how hard i try, 300 would b a distant dream in history. So.. switched to anthro.. joined sosin classes

I feel it's too late to think about an optional change if you are aiming at 2018 attempt. As it might be difficult to even cover the entire course once before prelims. As you need multiple readings,revisions and summarised notes for scoring high in optional I feel the amount of time is not sufficient. However, I have seen exceptional cases of optional change even after prelims and people scoring very high. I just wanted to warn you and not to demotivate.

Bhai kuch logon k bahkawe mein aa ke aisa waisa decision na lo.....mera 2016 mein nhi hua mains to Maine bhi yahi kaam kiya....bàad mein pata chala mere optional mein 280 the...thuka mera GS tha....lekin tab tak late ho chuka tha.....aur kya bataoon is saal optional k chutzaph k karan nhi hua..... Yaar anthro mere hisaab se utna bhi aasan nhi....kafi understanding aur ratant chahiye acche marks k liye like 280+......so kuch logon k karan apna jhand na karao....baaki ye mera personal opinion hai.....no dekh lo mains ka.....

Yaar isme koi aise hi muh utha k no nhi le aata....cremator bhai ka anthro accha hai...4 saal kafi mehnat ki hai....aur anthro khub ghise hain...phir bhi last time 275 k kareeb the....so soch samajh k decision Lena....upsc game mein aadhe log saal dar saal optional badalne mein hi laga date hain

Waise upsc k duniya mein bahut saari fairy tales hote hain like Maine 2 mahine padhe aur itne le aaya....aisi kahaniyann mein sacchai kam fantasy jyada hoti hai....like last year koi tina dabi k 2011 ka admission receipt koi daala tha khan ya koi institute ka....par madam me 2015 mein rank laya aur unka kahan tha ...bas kuch mahine ki taabad tod mehnat aur ye karishama

Bhai Naya optional initially padhne m bhot maza aayega but last m cheez whi ho jaati h.. koi bhi optional Bura nhi b agar uski demand Ko samjho.. anthro ka syllabus Chhota maana jaata h but ek intra optional competition bhi hota h.. usme beat krne k liye jee Tod mehnat krni pdegi.. ab jitni mehnat usme ghusaoge utne m history Ko kha phoncha skte ho ye bhi soch lo ek baar

Koi bhi optional perfect nahin hota ... usse behtar banana padta hai
So, now I am thinking on same thing
