Has anyone here taken economics as optional despite being from a non-economics background?

I would like to hear your point of view on how the paper has been in the past and how your experience has been so far in preparing the subject?

Comments

  • I do not have economics optional , but I had a close friend who had Eco optional .
She had done Eco in graduation as well as masters.
However she was unable to score well twice.

She is currently serving in Indian Revenue Service, and didn’t get IAS only because of that .

Linked youare very keen, economics is a rather not so great optional.

Also there is lack of good coaching barring Vajiram

What has been your info ?

@anjus well pretty much the same. From what I hear even people with eco background have to do nearly 8 months of prep. I was just wondering if any of the slightly more technical optionals were beginner friendly. Two people I know (both very smart) one with eco background and one without are both out this year. So I think I would rather choose something else like Pol sci instead of eco
