For people starting preparation from 1st Jan for 2018 Pre. (if any)

I have been trying to study from July this year but due to my final year semesters and some personal issues I have been unable to prepare continuously .
At last I have got rid of everything and hopefully I can prepare now for next 5 months without any disturbances.
I know its almost next to impossible to clear within this short period of time but since it's my 1st attempt I want to take a chance and at least get done with the Pre topics and a section of my optional.

If anyone is reading this thread then please put some inputs to prepare efficiently and if anybody else too is going through the same , share your strategies.

I received these advice here, and am passing it on.
Minimum sources, maximum revision.
Know you strengths, create a schedule and stick to it now matter what. If you are not good at strict time blocks, then have rough targets but in a fixed time frame. Set realistic targets.
If you feel like wasting time or in bakar, sleep instead. Take breaks regularly.
Prelims in 5 months prep is achievable, mains not so.

99% people who will clear prelims, will start prepration for prelims now only !!!!
