Can someone explain the characteristics of post-feminism ? and compare them with radical feminism
Post feminism highlights the differences within the women's movement. It suggests that traditional feminism is biased in favor of white upper middle class women of the West . Note that while radical feminism focuses on absolute equality.....post feminism cautions against being male identified .. Means post feminists are concerned that the quest for equality with men should not lead to erosion of original characteristics of women ..
so is there any difference between third wave and post feminism ? Because even third wave talks about being feminine ( opposition to second wave -- where equality with men is their demand) . What i could not understand is how post -feminism is different from third wave ( what distinguishes these) .

The term postfeminism is sometimes confused with "4th wave-feminism", and "women of color feminism".

I think it would be good that you make short notes on every topic mentioned in the syllabus which would help you in revising easily.... Your base material would of course be shubhra mam notes... You can do selective reading of gauba.... Haywood..... Does the elephant dance.... Also you can find some topics in ignou notes.... Which you will not find elsewhere......... This is one time hardwork....but will help you in long run.... Later to these very notes... You can add value from columns of pratap bhanu Mehta and Christophe jaffrelot... Regarding foreign policy good articles appear in express and Hindu... Bottom line is that keep accumulating material regarding each topic of syllabus at one place .... You will realize it's importance while revising one day before the exam... All the best
I am a newbie to political science but as far as am concerned am following this approach. Please correct me seniors if I am going in wrong direction. First I am reading just SR mam notes which I bought from online store flavido. For Paper 1 part A, I believe her notes and ignou would be more than sufficient. For Part B, Lakshmikanth polity and modern history by Bipin. For Paper 2 Part A, again SR mam notes and IGNOU. Part B current affairs. Following IR is key here. I would not read Gauba or Heywood until I grasp subject from SR mam notes and IGNOU.
Well, I would say first you read standard books for understanding of subject and then go with SR notes, as her notes are more like guide book. By standard book I mean books which are recommended by SR.

Same time of the year, now that mains have come to an end can someone do me and other inexperienced aspirants a favor and discuss the strategy required based on this years input so that we might have some shot next year.
Seniors a request please take your time relax but give just 5-10 minutes on discussing strategy on approaching pol sci I mean not just the book list but also the newspaper (which author to follow etc etc.)
