Urbanisation is a process that makes urban more urban and people shifting from rural areas to urban areas for better living conditions .
Indian government had initiated many schemes for urbanisation such as AMRUT,RURBAN,SMART CITIES etc.all these schemes have western components such as usage of western technology, western planning etc. western values are imbibed in Urbanisation process such as liberty, equality, justice .
Urbanisation will provide quality and availability of education to people. Women rights will prevail, urbanisation leads to exposure of their rights which promotes justice.Urbanisation leads to access to quality health care and services .
Urbanisation leads to rational thinking with imbibing values such as equality , objectivity etc which is helpful for elimination of social evils such as discrimination against vulnerable section of society.
Urbanisation will increase the individuality which will help in solving problems of life by themselves rather than depending on others.Urbanization by adopting western technology will bring in citizen centric governance which eliminate nepotism,corruption etc . These technologies will be used to protect environment from degrading and to better sanitation facilities.
From above all it is clear that western values and technology are usages for betterment of people and enhancing the character of your values such as education,respect, environment etc but not followed blindly .
However, in some areas urbanisation is following westernisation blindly . Those are :
Film making : which have negative impact on society and children because of westernisation. Smoking and drug abuses : day by day drug abusing is becoming common even for younger citizens , this is due to westernisation.
Sexual exploitation: recent increase of sexual exploitation or abuses even by younger citizens are causes of westernisation .
Loss of joint family values : Ultra individualistic values and lust for ultra luxuries causing increasing nuclear families .

As a coin has two side likewise urbanisation has too, by focusing only on one side concluding urbanisation is following westernisation in India blindly is wrong .
To reduce this negative thinking government have to take some steps like :
1) Counselling younger generations about the side affects of westernisation .
2) Inculcating Indian values from informative stage of life
3) Strengthening teeths of laws for regulating all abuses .
