Should I skip CS(P) 18th June & go for PCS Mains prep ?? (After getting marks & done with 3 attempt)

Hey frnds..

I have attached my marksheet... I m done with 3 attempts.. (gen cat) and will turn 26 this yr..
from middle class n after doing 3 attempts.. patience of parents running out.. n mine too to some extent..

I am frm MAHARASHTRA .. so pcs mains is objective... & pcs prelims result will be july end .. getting 192 from 1st ans key..chances of clearing (from sources like classes n frnds) today there are 155 vacancies (including fr all reserved categories) .. may increase after July..

by looking into marks.. n cutoff inflation..both in pre & mains.. and optional unpredictability.. along with interview to some extent..
and getting 26 yrs old ... nthing great after graduation.. only civil servies n pcs exams...

should i skip csp n go fr pcs mains which is in sept .. and objective.. (civils in oct .. written..)
after that prep fr 2018 attempt.. (along with appearing for ssc cgl & taking admission in ignou fr MA in sociology) .. ??

i did nt read optional after mains in dec.. did nt join mains test series.. n did not do writing practice... hindu articles are also pending since feb.. relying on time after prelims..

I dont have frnds fr civils here.. so mostly i am relying on internet n forum frnds.. to ask doubts n solving issues too.. I am preparing from home (financial issues).. n engg background.. passout of 2013 ..

so please guys .. please help me out in solving this...

Bhai taking a drop may lead to loosing grip... At this moment you must be knowing your Strength and weaknesses...You are aware of books and material you need to stick to and the new content that you need to cover more...You just need to addon to your preperation.
If you go for PSC MA etc exclusively..mark my words..2018 will be like a first attempt to you...You will be asking sources for even prelims material, as prepration sources are getting dynamic year by year.
Sab kuch apni jagah sahi h...loosing patience etc. But ask yourself whether you gave your 100%...If yes then you can take whatever decision practicality demands.
But Marks are no benchmark of success in upcoming attempt. And your's are quite decent marks btw.
So advice from this noob is a strict NO.

you should first secure a job to gain back ur strength and motivation . obviously ur parents are worried about ur future. first make them confident & happy about u by securing a job.

secure a job first. you have already wasted 3 years and 3 attempts.. find a secure govt job..which is nit as easy as it sounds.... there is ample time between declaration of result and joinnig date. having a job in the kitty will surely boost your morale andd confidence....

PS: I asked the same question to myself. whether should I rest once, one month back..
But as we dont have to wait too much this year, I decided to go for it..
Secondly I was rigid because I dont want to put you in a dilemma of yes or no as prelims is round the corner. So decide whatever you feel comfortable, by today itself. Atb.

tumhara sahi tha kehna .. but dilemma esiliye tha kyu ki backup nahi h aisa kuch ready.. so do raste nikle the..sept k bad krna hi hain mujhe agr 2018 ka leta hu... main 2014 n 15 me prelim failed hua hu... toh link nahi tuti.. ya kaho kida hain andar..

100 % sure hota toh yeh dilemma nahi ata.. maine socha tha kuch thode mark se reh jayega to civils le lunga.. n thode jada toh skip kr dunga.. but optional ka aise ayenge nai lga tha.. gs ka thik h.. agle sal jaise es bar cutoff n all kaphi change h.. so nxt yr aise sb na ho aise b nai pta.. kya pattern rhega yeh b nai pta.. process me hr jgh discretion ko chance lgta hain... ab wahi chij padh k kisi ne ppr 1 socio 100+ kr liya... nd kisi dusre evaluator ne hume niche gira diya...

main negative ya jada critical nahi ho rha hu.. but yeh truth hain.. and khali jo bnda 2014 se civils hi kr rha ho.. 3 attempts ho chuke ho.. and aise kitne select ho rhe h .. ?? bohot kam... so interview me aur muh tedhe ho jayenge unke.. and 300 k niche rank ate hi log repeat krne lg ja rhe hain..

aaj lena padega call.. jada late nai kr skta.. gharme b baat nai ki hain.. papa se b bat krni hain.. unko kaha toh tha ki marks ane k bad decide krna h..

Mujhe 1 cheez to samajh aa gai h ki..2 naav me pair rakh k nahi niklega ye exam
Jinke pass job h govt. wo sick leave le lete h..warna nahi nikal pata. Ya unka grip kafi sahi rehta h pehle se..
Warna sab ya to mains me ya interview me fail ho hi jate h..
Koi bhi state psc ho general wale ko to dedicate karke 2-3 mahine dene hi padenge.. pre cross karne k liye..mains and interview me utna load nahi aayega..
To agar aap drop le rhe ho to..to koi nai..bas ye yaad rakhiyega ki..iske touch me bane rehna..warna bilkul 1st attempt ho jayega aapke liye 2018...kuch dosto k touch me rehna and kisi forum pe thodi writing karte rehna ya kuch bhi..

Nahi yaar koi backup nahi h mera...and dheere dheere I am making my mind clear..ki mujhe Govt job nahi chaiye..
mene last year mppsc ka mains nahi likha coz 1 mahine baad upsc ka mains tha!! And I have no regret..life me thoda sa idealistic rehna theek lag rha h ab mujhe..Ye attempt to aa ho hi gaya h 5 mahine me fir sochunga ki kya karna h.

Aur yaar aap 26 me dukhi ho yaha forum pe 31 wale bhi h..to yaar broader perspective leke decision lena..apni capabilities k hisab se and practical challenges ko dekh k..sirf anxiety,failure ya stress k emotional reaction me aa kar nahi. parents to yaar apni long term khushi me hi khush rahenge..

Agar lag rha h ki nikal loge to dedena..
I know a person jike 3 marks se cutoff reh gya...lekin safe rehne k chakkar me form hi nahi bhara tha is saal k upsc ka..aur pre me last time unke 166 the.
To bhai soch lo aaj acche se

bhai agar haaty mein job ho to agar fail bhi hojaye to koi nahi puchega...agar jobless ho aur sirf cse kohi target kar rahe ho to duniya koodh padegi upar...

dude simple try for that whr u r sure of getting a job...cse kahi nahi jaane wali...mere senior 5th attempt mein irs bana hey aur is baar uska phir rank aaya hein par no scope of improvement. but after 2-3 attempts he left prep secured a job in college as lecturer thereafter started preparing......
