For those who wrote mains first time this year, how do you calculate your expected score?
I had joined vision test series. Marks in mains are always higher than the tests because vision marking is very strict. I calculated based on my relative performance in final paper and in vision tests. Essay and optional I have no idea. There was too much variation in essays I wrote in tests.
I was scoring low 90's in vision and high 80's. Optional ka test series nai diya, Essay ka bi nai diya
GS 3 &GS 4 I scored in high 90s. My mains paper went better and I am expecting 105+ in both. GS 2 I used to score in 80s only. GS1 could be in 90s in final paper as my optional was geography. I had given optional and essay tests as well. Optional 100+ is sure in both. Essay marks could be anywhere between 100-140.
ORN me kuch logon ne bataya tha ki ye vision ke test series ke paper senior students hi evaluate karte hain.. then how much reliable is the result of those test series. kindly throw some light on it sir.
Yes it is true. They r given answer sheet by senior faculty and instructions how to award marks. Tests are just to make your presentation better for final exams. I have a friend who attempted last year and had given vision tests as well. He gave me some idea how to speculate marks. Still there is always uncertainty.
Hello friends. Aaj mahaul बना है. This is my last attempt... I am following orkut earlier and then forum ias since last 8 years..... बड़ा मज़ा आता है.... हर saal... वही baatein... Wahi threads.... Excitement...... Kaafi dost bhi bane..... Thread which made to motivate after results is very powerful and useful to all here..... Orkut days are very special....... सभी दोस्तो को सुबकामनाए.

GS 3 mai mera both were above 100.
My optional is also Geography.
How was your Paper 1. I couldn't attempt 2 questions (10+10). One 20 mark question of Davis was attempted very badly.
Q2 (A) How king use Davis, Penck and Wood. Woh mera below average gaya. I had some idea about Davis and Penck in L C kings work, but didn't know about wood. Also I couldn't attempt the question on Compage. I went blank after having read it somewhere
Same with me. I didn't even know eggs and basket question. Rest of the paper was ok. expecting 100+
My eggs and basket question went like this. I knew what it was. But I wasn't sure about its genesis. I wrote it is a depositional landform. Then did a strike-through and wrote it's an erosional landform. Baqi dekhtay hain kya kiya hai. Waha jaldi mai yaad bi nai rehta likha kya,.
What about paper 2 maps. I wrote headquarter of NE railway at Guwahat instead of Gorakhpur and made Farraka Barrage a little down near Kolkata. Rest of the paper was just GS.
I marked river indravati (off the mark a bit), kundankulam and Headquarters of NE railways and farraka (confused it with harrike) wrongly.
Also the Bokaro I&S Plant wala question aiway hi gaya.
i did a big mistake....in second paper of geo... i wrote about the write up on the page whr qs were printed as lat time thr were no blank pages awailable ....and left all blank pages provided for write up blank .... though i wote that please check ands in particular page...i dont knw wht will happen...
Dude it was whole answersheet. I did the same..who cares. They are obviously going to check.
hmm....i also think so.....but theb...fear is a thing in these times....
