All well, doc Saab. Timing baḍi achchhi hai aapki. Abhi just previous page pe ek comment kara tha maine related to you only.
#Stay positive yaar. Ho jana chahiye itne marks pe. Achchha hai that you started preparing from today itself. And btw Yeh toh waise bhi expected tha aapse. and this is something i really like- dedication !!
Okay bhai. Arre yaar unemployed bande ko ek hi kaam hota hai - employment lena. Toh kya karein. Like Meghnad Desai says, "The only business of a newly formed government is to get re-elected."
doc bhai, do you also think IVC and Kakatiya question are ambiguous?
No idea about Kakatiya port. I skipped that.
As far as IVC is concerned, it is A for sure. People cried themselves hoarse over the babur question and the counterequatorial current question in 2015. At one point, I think we had a dozen evidences from IMD to NOAA scientists affirming that counterequatorial current is due to rotation of the earth. UPSC went with convergence, which was verbatim mentioned in the NCERT.
RS Sharma itself cites 3 evidences for horse presence in IVC: A superficial level in Mohenjodaro has revealed it, a dubious terracota figurine has, and of course the remains at Surkotada. UPSC doesn't need to dig deep. They're not that conscientious.

arey not about which is right or wrong, just to know if doc feels there is scope for ambiguity according to the evidences posted there.
Most of old sources or those who rely on sources from 50s/60s will say IVC people were unaware of horse...new books and writers now believe IVC people were aware of horse..moreover I have faced this particular question around 20 times in last 3/4 years...except few old books every time opinion was in favor of Harappa people were well aquainted with horse...
I was going through my old comments while searching for something and I found an interesting comment of mine. About an year old. It was a reply(suggestions) to someone who was asking about how to make mains more objective to make the exam fair. Little did I know then, that UPSC was working on making even the prelims objective paper a subjective one.

awareness and usage are two different things, for example, people in Chile or Ecuador or Colombia may be aware of the existence of the Liama in Peru however they may not be using the Liama for various purposes
We need to create a thread on the forum, which will deal with strategies to answer questions through tukkebaazi even if an individual does not have enough knowledge about the issues the question is dealing with. Practice exercises can be created - previous years prelims questions can be analysed and strategies can be created on how to answer them through tukkebazi
i have already compiled a pdf on this, and it applies to this year as well, did not share it openly because cutoffs would have inflated like crazy. Apply this logic to every question this year and know by yourself if this works or not.
Thanks a ton @pizza ! For want of a better phrase, this was a डूबते को तिनके का सहारा। Can't thank you enough pizzu. Goodnight
