Charity begins at home so I start by my points. 1. Though it is a very small issue, but health on Prelims Day is of prime importance. Don't exhaust yourself from 2-3 days prior to Prelims day. Eat healthy, especially in the last week. 2. Never go to exam without watch - trust me you'll thank me later. (Most important in Mains.) 3. As this time Pre will be in superheated environment 18th June, take with you a water bottle filled with cold water with Glucose mixed in it.
4. Take extra pen with you and a handkerchief too. Whether your exam centre is in some torrid zone or in some hill station, one sweats during exam. 5. Start early. Dont let traffic or mechanical defect of your vehicle affect you.
@Neyawn sir your valuable suggestions are awaited for the benefit of all aspirant community. I hope this thread will help all from beginners to veterans (may be not in equal proportion). Last minute stupid mistakes can certainly be averted with conscious efforts. Regards
Some Hacks from myself: 1. When you receive question paper booklet; do not start answering; just go through it and see all pages are printed or not. 2. After a glance; search for questions you know for sure : it builds up confidence levels; bubble them. 3. Now search for the questions you know partially. And try to answer them by elimination method. 4. Be alert and search for words like all; only; largest; biggest; and factual numbers and years. In 90% of cases, the statements containing these words, numbers are wrong. 5. Avoid totally unknown/alien questions. 6. Do not get tempted/ excited to see easy questions/ topics. This leads to negative effect on other questions. 7. Avoid silly mistakes like OMR bubbling mistakes, not taking ID card and Admit card, arriving late to center, not eating sufficiently, not sleeping the day before exam, etc. 8. And last but not least; focus on paper 2; many students in 2016 failed to qualify paper 2.
