    YMCA Tourist Hostel.

5 minutes from UPSC by auto. But mainly due to traffic lights and the large India Gate round about. The crease of your clothes and shoe shine won't spoil. You can start only half an hour before your stipulated time.

Very good rooms, quite ambiance, large wall mirror for dressing up and free breakfast too.

A bit costly (Rs. 2600 per day when I stayed). But hey, it's UPSC interview, not everyone gets it. So go for it.

Else you can also stay near New Delhi Railway Station. It'll take around 25 minutes for you to reach UPSC. Spoilage of crease of clothes will be main concern.

All the best. Convert the corner into the GOAL. :)
  • Please suggest some economical hotels since our stay would be lengthy as Medical also would be done on next day.
  • Thanks very much @Indian_Cheetah.
My best wishes to you as well.

  • Try the Sadan/Bhavan of your state. They usually accommodate you with minimal charge.

Girls can stay in YWCA working women hostel. It is adjacent to YMCA blue triangle hostel at Jai Singh Road. They have three guest rooms and the charges are about 500 rupees per day. They also have a decent mess and per meal charges are very low. Additionally, there is a newspaper and laundry service available. Patel chowk metro station is at walking distance.
