  • I am leaving Philo too... :/
  • People are unnecessarily panicking over optional. Pls let the marks come..Who knows you are out because of GS or essay. Every year the same happens and when marks come, no body knows how to respond as by then most of ppl have changed their optionals!
    +1

Your apprehension is quite right. But many a times, optional does play the spoiler role as it did with me in 2015 attempt. People should introspect and take an early, though cautious decision :)
+1 aur haan mene ye bhi dekha hai ki kuch log optional theek se prepare karte hi nahi hai aur mains ke baad, jab result negative aata hai to chal padte hai phir se optional change karne
Bhai logo optional me agar 200% diya hai phir bhi kuch na ho raha, tab hi change karna, varna Geography bhi kuch time pehle tak bahut kharab perform kar raha tha, aur ab dekhiye sahi track pe lag raha hai, baki you never know.

  • Out, first mains. I had covered a lot of sources - Mitras, Patanjali notes, Ambarish's notes, Messih/Cd Sharma and even braved Stanford for some topics. Can't really figure if optional went bad or gs. Any writing/source tips @yoga123 @hemu ?

It was my first attempt with Philo. I'm not quite sure how much I got. Last time I performed pathetically in my earlier optional (math) but still made it to the final list. So I'm quite unsure about writing for Philo prep. One may never know.

nhi bhai.. just my opinion.. itne bade logo se comparison mat kiya karo.. they are ideals..

doosri baat yeh.. ki upsc m competition na kabhi kam tha na zyada hoga.. aise exams m hamesha ek jaisa compeition rehta h.. yeh sab myth h competition badh jaega..
