ias preparation ke naam par maine sirf qtiyapa kiya hai. 6 saal pahle hi soch liya tha ki civil service karna hai. in 3rd year of my engineering i had finished dd basu which even some successful candidates never refer. placement mein bhi nahi baitha though i belonged to a prestigious engineering college. aaj graduation kiye almost 4 saal ho gaya. abhi tak interview bhi nahi face kiya cse ka. that itself tells of my insincerity. knowledge bahut ho gaya but i never studied like an ias aspirant. i studied in my own lethargic, casual way. while there are aspirants who study sincerely and crack it in first attempt. some achieve this great feat even while pursuing degree or working somewhere. while i am here who has wasted 4 years in name of "ias preparation ". i am writing this to relieve myself as well as to illustrate the point that this exam is certainly doable provided one is sincere and disciplined.
Yaar same here What lacunae u can see in ur failure? Or u are satisfied with urself?
problem is i am not satisfied with myself. i lack sincerity. i don't work hard. I don't study in mission mode. i don't write. if i, or for that matter anyone else do these things then he is bound to succeed . at worse his success can be delayed but never denied. but the most important thing is aspirants give their 100%. i have given at max 30% of myself
What is the reason? In my case mujhe koi motivation hi nahi h pata nahi aisa kyu h?

no gurantee to succeed in cse until u see ur name in that holy pdf. U can be out at any level prelims, mains, interview, paper 1, paper 2, optional.... and betting our life on all these the qutiyapa, which I did.
ek baat hai relaxation of attempts and age in my case has proved to be a bane, as it has reduced the pressure. i think like abhi bahut samay hai so i will do it next time. an optimum pressure is preferable for this exam. one more thing is that my optional is geography which is somewhat time taking especially when u want to study it from textbooks. but in any case if u have taken two attempts and still not qualified for interview then it means either ur track is wrong or u r not sincere

Even if you give your 150%, there's no gurantee of success, while those who read 4 hours a day have been selected.
are you saying it from ur personal experience? even if that is the case, my contention is one should give his 100% and then see for himself whether he succeeds or not.
