    1. right to social political and economic equality as enshrined in constitution and UNHR convention so it has to be follwed because it is fundamental right
    2. prevailing socioeconomic inequality in world which is increasing day by day.
    3. obligations of govt. without social equality..political equality is a myth.
    4. social equality will help increase the human capital and economic growth
    5. prevent fissiparous tendencies and class conflicts.
    6.to eliminate poverty.

    impediments
    1. vested interests lobbying for status quo
    2. Crony capitalism
    3. Fiscal constraint less resources available to state
    4. market distortion theory
    5. conflict of interests between various groups regionalism , communalism , class conflicts

    way forward
    by prioritizing resources to core areas which remove basic deprivations which are most glaring.
    assuring freedom and self confidence of various groups.

    1. Legislative measures like SC/ST act, Autonomous hill councils , PESA ,Special marriage act etc.
    2. Affirmative action giving reservation in job and education
    3. implementing constitutional provisions
    4. PDS subsidization AAY
    5. minority reservation and scholarships
    6. Linguistic and religious minorities educational institution's autonomy
    7. gender budgeting :wink:
    8. Various bodies like NCW, NHRC , NCST/SC ,minority commission

    @Maddeadpool ne points sab cover kar diye hain.i will just tough one aspect of empowerment,marxist perspetive.

    empowerment basically means freedom,freedom to pursue what we want to,freedom to choose our education,our lifestyle,our job etc. freedom is more importnt than equality for empowerment.freedom to be a human being in true sense where we are not alienated from fellow human beings,from what we produce etc.

    empwemnt ke liye weaker sections ke upar so social exclusion devices(caste) hoti hain which lead to deprivation of socio economic and politico-civil rights shoud be removed.iske baad se pagalmadmx ke points ko relate kar do to kaafi hain.
