actually irrelevant h.. varna is a reference model (just for sake of understanding of schoalrs), it is not empirical reality (caste is reality)..

caste speaks of same thing which u have already mentioned.. division of labor etc.

emile senart as well as MNS says, whole varna model has prodcued a wrong image of caste..

Sacred complex concept is used in study of rise of urban centres.. so village as a social system m fit h ki nhi yeh bolna sahi nhi lagta... baaki i am also student only.. let professor decide

yaar social systems are not only about collective consciousness.. but also of rivalries and potential conflicts camouflaged in ohter aspects.. DC and JS is not about collective consciousness as such.. there are conflicts as well.. u can go through Yogndra singh's idea
