Documentaries, Movies & Videos helpful in civils preparation

Kindly post in this thread Documentaries, Movies & Videos (either their names or if possible links also) which have helped you in UPSC in any way.
A brief introduction about content of video will be appreciated.
Also please those Documentaries, Movies & Videos (who claimed to teach about Civils) but wasted time.
I think this link repository will be extremely useful for beginners as well as veterans.

  • Pradhanmantri and Samvidhan. One is based on happenings of post independence India and the second one is on making of the constitution.

    # I'm great. As always. It's Diwali so I'm out of my self-imposed exile for few hours !!

    # No, No. I believe in healthy competition. I want the tables to be horizontal and the dice non-loaded...

    # Well, what can I say. Bhajan is all I need for relaxation during dreary days of mains prep. God gave me a good plumbing system. I like to put it to good use every 3-4 days. ;)

@Caliburn Bro, documentaries won't help in anything during CSE prep. Thematic documentaries are made with a preconceived ideology. They'll tilt ur opinion artificially.

Movies will keep u in good humor so they will refresh u during preparation.

As for videos, stick to RSTV programs 'The Big Picture' and 'India's World'. Apart from that watch Vision's lecture videos - purchase them or pirate them. Go no further. Keep the volume of material less and consolidated so that mental maps don't have too many links. Strengthen those links by revision...

    All the best...

@jack_dawson Well, no fun cleaning your OWN, everyday....

  • ye doucumentary dekho, just abhi Natgeo pe dekh ke aaya hoon. Climate change or Paris agreement ke upar hai. Kaafi acchi hai

  • documentaries most of the time are intolerably slow, but if you absolutely have to watch one, try PBS's american revolution. Mike maloney's "hidden secrets of money" is also good, so is the 2007 documentary 'Russian revolution in colour'. "World according to Monsanto" is also a good watch, if you are interested in knowing why our supreme court is so against the herbicide-tolerant crops like the GM mustard DMH-11 in india (it is not shot in india, but the arguments remain the same).
