Deputy Collector VS Deputy SP

if one can not become IAS/IPS.. then these two are the closest one can get in a state services. specially in Bihar and Jharkhand.

in administrative service, extra income post are not much...but in police service there are always some source of income, no matter what the service conditions are.

specially for Bihar and Jharkhand, police service is better or Administrative service?

i need to make choice.

so kindly give details and keep the discussion civil.

I always wonder why bihar which was once the most advanced state of country in ancient times has regressed to such a position.....

And then I see people like @vishnudev for whom service is about "extra money" .... And then I get answer why bihar is regressing.....

  • Hahahah... As if all are raja harishchandra here. Most if not all are gonna end up pocketing few perks that come their way.. If they are in such a position.

I wanted to know the pros and cons of Deputy Collector and Deputy SP.

    If set aside extra income..

Let's discuss the long term prospects of both posts...

Here are some civil suggestions and details -

Bihar and Jharkhand are one of the most underdeveloped and poor states. Since, population is high, so many people are extremely poor, malnourished, in debt-trap, doing bonded labor. Productivity is extremely low, and many times girls/married women of poor families are forced to indulge in prostitution.

So, the extra income that you get comes for development of these sections. Now, think over again.

Other than that please join civil services for actually doing something good in society, bringing smile on depressed faces, wiping out tears of dis-empowered and weaker sections and providing opportunities for gender-justice in true sense.

Also, world is changing, India is changing, our government and governance practices are changing. Reforms will happen everywhere sooner or later. So, sooner or later, you will get caught in corruption, and Jail will be your final destination.

And, if you want to do good work, then many opportunities are there in all places. Good luck
