are you people still able to cram/memorize things? it seems i have forgotten the art, i am just reading and re reading the lines nowadays, finding it difficult to commit to long term memory

Exactly. It was so much easier during Prelims. Cannot commit new things to memory these days.

Cannot recall clearly what I studied 5 months back
don't think too much on memory issue.. as far as i assume.. since service (already IRS etc.) people don't have enough time to rote specific things but are qualifying with even better ranks.. it means only geenral understanding is needed.. l
like in IR: look east policy, OBOR, china factor, project mausam, blue economy, strategic autonomy, maritime security, terrorism and fundamentalism, middle east, oil , remittance, decline of US hegemony, decine of multilateralism and rise of sub-regional groups, permanent seat, peacekeeping, global commons, net security provider in IO, peace,prosperity and progress in region, chabahar to bypass paksitan, connect central asia, pivot, decline of global institutions, emergence of new security architecturre, nuclear proliferation, energy security, food security (pulses from africa), soft power, cultureal diplomacy, diaspora climate change, FTAs etc. blah blah..
like in economy questions write macroeconomic indicators, investment, infrastructure, institutionalization, informal economy, unorganized sector, MSME , railways as engines, modernization of ports, markets, demand and supply, startup, standup, make in india, power sector reforms, tax-gdp ratio, labor reforms, contr HR , etc. issues.. think fast and place the same cliche in better way.. blah blah,
remembering specific stuff seems impossible in GS except in paper 2.. so best approach is as GA says everyone knows everything..
i may be completely wrong or may be that is the trick.. yet to see.. let this mains show..

@hemu bhai i have just stopped thinking whether i would b able to recall stuff in the exam hall...i know i will miss a lot of stuff like last yr and write general paragraphs instead of point wise answers as i wished to...but time is running out
