Background DOP releases service allocation and training starts typically a month after that. E.g for RAS 2013 , service allocation done on 3rd Aug and training started on 11 Sep. Now this is too less time for someone to resign from private sector where notice period is 3 months.
Query:Can a candidate request the the department he is allocated,( lets says if its account service) to delay his joining by couple of months? If someone has tried it or heard about it then please let me know.
Common sense suggests that it should be possible as a candidate cannot simply sit idle and wait for allocation/offer letter to come, especially when RAS 2016 is subjudice and courts may take their own sweet time.
