How is Vajiram's Mains test series?

Anyone who had joined their test series please tell about pros and cons.
This time they are having a bit flexible schedule and cost is also relatively lesser than vision, Gs score etc. So is it worth joining?

Only 0.01% make upsc out of vajiram. But they still have the most number of candidates under one roof.
And 10-15% are serious candidates of their factory.
The rest who dont study give excellent reviews to those who aren't staying in Delhi.

I'll try my best to give you an unbiased review. I've joined Vajiram's test series in 2014 and 2015 and Vision's mains series in 2015. In 2014, I made it to interview while in 2015 Geography took me out.

    Pros:
    1. Proper infrastructure and fixed timing. It really gives u feel of exam simulated condition. Here other's fail. Vision's series looks like a bazaar with people coming in and going out of test room every 15-20 minutes.
    2. Qualified examiners. Examiners at Vajiram r usually people who got in services in previous years. At Vision and all other coachings they are almost all repeaters or even those who flunked prelims.
    3. Personal guidance from Raveendran sir. He fine tunes answer writing skills continuously during his CA discussions. It also helps immensely during DAF filling and even discussing personal problems. Counsellers at many other coachings are again repeaters.
    4. Optimum cost. Discount to previous year students.
    5. The famous CA yellow books towards the end of series. It will help u in mains & in interview.
    6. I used to attend Geography as well as essay discussions of Shabbir sir. He is very good.

    Cons:
    2. Question papers of GS are set by subject experts eg. IR questions by some PhD guy from JNU etc. So GS papers give feel of being vague at times - not like UPSC. And time is wasted during detailed discussions of such questions. Last year I especially felt this in IR and History (GS-1). Vision is good in this aspect- its questions are more like UPSC pattern.
    3. Vajiram is not much tech savvy. So no online videos like Vision.
    4. No flexible timings.

I'll only join Vajiram this year. Again.

One can always share Vision's series with some friends and its discussion are open. So u can get best of both.
