Managing gap in Employment.

How do you people managed /plan to manage gap in your employment?

Many of us leave our awesome jobs in search of this mirage of UPSC. Only a few manage to find fresh water lake at the other side. For others it is just sand, desert.

So many of us drop away and start hunting for jobs.

Job hunting becomes very difficult esp when you have a gap in Employment.

  • Here are some which I could think of. Hope it helps.

    1. Request friends to forward your resumes to their HR. This doesn't work often but if anyone of your friend is an entrepreneur then you could try working with him even if the salary is way below your expectation.
    2. Trying to find an internship paid or unpaid for some time.
    3. Other govt exams if age is on your side.
    4. Higher studies and a career in academics like junior faculty etc.
  • One more option is you can startup something. There are some low cost options like E Commerce ventures. You may look into them.
  • How have people managed in past?
  • Usually people clear other Goverment exams.SSC, IBPS, RBI.Some other cases their educational profile is strong so they get work. Some go abroad to study further.
