I had started this thread. Due to heavy traffic after prelims I guess many threads got deleted. So basically let's form a group of about 30 people to share vision prelims series. In this group ,any one of us can buy the test series and others can pay to this person. So if are 30 people , it will cost only 500rs to each one of us.
Guys we also can form for insights if all are interested. I am more keen in solving vision test series.
Hi Miss Bansal. Now I started this thread after seeing your thread. Last year , you were not able to share the test series on a TIMELY basis. In fact in the end every one stopped relying on your shared test series in the group which you had formed. I had to forward some test series paper to your group members as well and in the end everything was available online for free. So the point I am trying to make is anyone in this thread including you can take up the responsibility of sharing. But it is a big responsibility. Test series have to be shared on the same day. Otherwise its of no use as everything will be available free of cost after some days. The only advantage of a shared paid test series is that we can rely on it and we can get it on the same day as per the actual schedule of the test series. So even if the person who is supposed to share the test series is not able to give it on time , he can just click the submit button without attempting any question. Thus he can share on the same day and he can as well solve the pdf of test which is obtained at a later date which is convenient to him. So why delay the schedule for every one just because one person is not taking the tests on time ?? After all we will be sharing the amount equally. My apologies if you found my comments harsh. So we can combine the people from your thread as well here , but let only the person buy the test series who is able to share it on the same day. you can buy if you agree. This person can submit the test on the same day without attempting any question .(This is how shashi thakur and everything which is available for free is done) so that every one gets the pdf on that day itself and every one can solve it as per their convenience .
Now this is for people who might be confused between vision and insights. Both the test series are reputed. Infact we should try solving both of these papers before pelims 2017. Insights will be easy and visions difficult . But we should follow only 1 schedule . Following schedule of both the test series will infact mess up things. Now selecting between them depends on each ones studying pattern, As in an earlier thread some one had rightly mentioned vision will take up one subject at a time whereas insights will touch upon all subjects . Now to have linkages , vision is better as it will be much more beneficial for mains. Again depends on how one is comfortable with
What I personally think is if we follow strictly vision schedule , we will complete the entire sylabus . we can just see what all has overlapped /completed in insights schedule and accordingly give those tests of insights as well . Even if we dont do that , in last 2 months we can solve all insights test. anyways depends how you want to go about.
If we have a big group , we can enroll for vision as well as insights and every one can solve as per their priority. So decide folks , should we go for vision or vision + insights .

I completely agree that it is a huge responsibility. And I really have no problems with anyone who wants to take up this responsibility willingly.

I think we can enroll for both, of course depending on the size of the group, and let it be the individuals choice as to which test series he or she wants to follow. I had enrolled for Insights last year but due to some reasons I couldn't attempt the exam this year, but after reading the reviews on the internet and this particular thread on this forum, "what worked for those who are scoring well", I personally feel that with time the competition has only increased and to a drastic level, and that's why the exams have become more dynamic in nature, be it any exam not just UPSC. So, to ensure a full proof preparation, we must stick to selected material and keep ourselves abreast with the CA and REVISE and REVISE !
No excuses, but this exam is such that it requires a deep level of commitment as well as sincerity. Consistency! And I also personally believe in the power of group studies. Hence, I am looking for a small group of dedicated aspirants, not necessarily located in one geographical area, all hail internet, who can keep the motivation level always high!
