You are right bhai..though they tried to fasten the process but then litigants are also there..but still I have seen Ghatnachakra books being sold in large nos. in ORN markets now..so yes many ppl now appear for it in the changed pattern of answer writing..

Bhai aur what about those 7 answers in their latest official key thanks to that many like me who would have otherwise cleared are sitting on the sidelines wondering why are we the ones who got screwed because a few candidates who otherwise were failing in Pre convinced the board that their incorrect response should be the answer
in the hindsight all experience is good experience
@vasu comparing that way will mean DM of lucknow is more powerful than CM of sikkim or goa or any union territory.
second , dont just comapre with sikkim there are other nearly equally populous to UP like maharashtra bihar westbengal etc.
bhai I didnt say anything of that sorts..pls check the tag! IAS is always superior to PCS..I guess he just wanted to emphasize upon the post of SDM in your HOME STATE. Anyways I will keep IAS/IPS above SDM of home state and all other services below it.Hope you got my point.
@vasu@phoenixdesires what I wanted to show with that comparison is that as an SDM in up,the scope of public service and exposure is much more...I agree that the scope of IAS increases as you reach the joint secretary level. I would only say that PCS in UP is better than most Group A services.In senior posts a PCS officer usually heads the various development authorities,nagar nigams etc. Give your best for the PCS exam and qualify.This will remove the insecurity and pressure which we go through while giving the CSE.all the best
