Does any one know anything about working of bikes. Can a bike start (by kick start) even if the battery is removed?

u mean remove the battery and short the + and - ? @ kalla_brahman
yaar , see the out put wire of battery , upar ke tarf hoti hai ..... that one is connected to one wire of your bike......
take some extra wire..... connect both ends using spare wire ....
k... thanks buddy... will try this tomorrow. Actually my mechanic said that I won't be able to even kickstart the bike unless I put in a new battery for Rs. 1300. I smell something fishy. Thanks anyway.
