I have been preparing almost satisfactorily along with the job. But Prelims-2015 result still haunts me. In order to leave no stone unturned, I want to take a break for these three months. But the financial conditions and uncertainty of the exam don't allow me to resign straightaway. So what can be cited as a plausible excuse for the same. TIA
If you take leave for Prelims, it will be impossible to ask leave for mains again. I'm also in IT and I follow the simple strategy of stealing time to study. If you are a bachelor without family commitments, 4 hrs of study is easily possible at home. At office, steal 2 to 2.5 hrs of time and you can utilise it to study using mobile. GKT documents are perfect for working aspirants.
For mains you can try to get leave of 2 or 3 months by saying accident as an excuse and then producing medical certificates.
