Sociology study meetup group in Bhopal

Hello Guys,

I'm planning to organize a small (3-4 persons) meetup group (not online) for serious aspirants of Sociology optional in Bhopal. The objective is as follows:

1) To discuss GS current issues from a Sociological point of view and parlance. It may include division of responsibilities in terms of note making from relevant EPW articles and sharing with others in a crowdsourcing manners. It will save time and energy.

2) To revise Sociology by discussing face to face (like a rapid fire test to generate points on spot). This saves time as opposed to writing them down. Writing practise otherwise can be done on our own or with assistance from various test series.

3) To attempt and compile answers to all questions from previous 10 years question papers.

All meetings and discussions will be recorded in a transcript manner and can be referred later as value-add materials.

Interested aspirants, preferably with one attempt at mains already, can PM me with their details, and we'll take it from there.

Little info about me: Wrote 2nd consecutive mains in 2015 with Socio. Although from IIT, have a keen passion in the subject from college days as took optional courses in Socio. I believe it shouldn't be treated as an academic affair insofar as cracking UPSC is concerned. Hence, wish to resolve it in a fun and a participatory manner.

Cheers.

  • Thanks to those who PM'd.

To resolve the confusion that some have- please note that I'm just an aspirant, I don't run a coaching or anything of that sorts.

This idea of meetup study groups is not there in Bhopal, so thought of discussing together that may help in 2016 attempt. Especially since finding UPSC community is altogether rare and aspirants are disconnected from each other in our town.
