CSE, SSC, other PSCs, NABARD and many more exams altogether..... How to manage them simultaneously because with each exam comes its specific requirements and time at hand is less to crack them all. Is it even advisable to go for such an approach or focus on CSE only? After looking at a few threads, I thought i should have a hedging approach... What's your take?
This dilemma is faced by many. Why? SSC requires a special skillset, where focus on vocab, lower gk, trigno, algraebra, geometry, non-verbal reasoning is must. Bank requires different skillset where focus on puzzle test, di, long comprehensions, cloze-tests & fill in blanks is must. Other exams take different portions from the above two plus they have a lil bit extra of their own.
Now State PCS requires lower gk, rote leaning and overlaps with CSE the most.
So divide into 3 groups, SSC & SSC type exams can be one group. Bank and Banking related exams can be second group. State PCS & UPSC can be the third group.
Choose anyone, if u try to mingle all at once, chances of success will lower with increasing exams.
@Uncle_Wayne even in different PCS exams, state gk varies a lot and only a few states psc exams can be given considering non requirement of local language, academic qualifications or geographical reach. Should one pursue an aggressive approach towards psc exams and try to give maximum number in case one chooses 3rd category or go for UPSC + state PSC exam?
From my personal experience don't shift between groups too much. U will get tired very soon. (PS: I shifted between 3rd Grp & SSC, it drained me completely and had to settle with ssc at last. Now started 3rd Grp completely)

@Nietzsche Due to uncertain nature of CSE selection, appearing in multiple exams is a bitter reality that you will have to manage and dat too on your own...

I'm posted at Indian Meteorological Dept. Waiting posting from CGL 15. Prepin for last remaining goal CSE.
PS: CGL 15 went good enough. 475 total marks in T1 & T2. Interview me average bhi mil jaye to 45 to mil hi jayenge.
This is what i am most afraid of... getting tired soon. But desperation levels are too high .. family and financial constraints, so need to get a job somehow within this year . On the other side, lay UPSC the dream. Somewhere inside i have a feeling i am prepared for all the 3 groups of exams but cant risk it. Its better to be late than sorry.
Give the first priority to CSE for a whole year and then you have to move forward to other exams for a backup option and again simultaneously brush up your preparation for next attempt
