  • @DrKingSchultz see if it helps.
  • Regarding Q2.,
Why is everybody selecting option A as the correct answer?
    Shouldn't it be option B?

    Isn't the only possible sequence:

    8 E
    7 B
    6 H
    5 A
    4 F
    3 C
    2 D
    1 G
    ?
Then according to this, the person living exactly between the floors on which D and E live (Floor 2 and Floor 8 resp.) should be A, living on Floor 5. A is option B in the options provided.

Am I missing something here? :open_mouth:
    @Good_Fella @Captain_Peroxide
The second criteria "only two people live between A and H" is not met, hence the discrepancy.

oh I see, I got it now :)... Thank you Dock :sunglasses:
This is the first rule you have to know to solve CSAT questions Captain_peroxide

If there is any question in UPSC CSAT paper, then 100% you will have one question on this.

    Type 1

If A then B ( If it rains there will be mud )

is not the same as If Not A Then Not B ( If there is no rain, there will be no mud is incorrect as mud can be due to other reasons too )

But it is the same as If Not B then Not A ( If there no mud, then there must have been no rain )

    Think logically.

Also, you should be aware of such questions by now. Try solving previous years CSAT papers. Its been asked every year, almost
