After the good response for similar thread last year, I am creating this thread for this year. I invite everyone to post their daily progress while preparing for Civil Services Preliminary Exam, 2016.
People logging their time and syllabus covered motivate other candidates and create a deeper perception for time going by and what can be covered in a single day. We all have pseudonyms on forum so no one can judge each other.
Similar thread last year helped me to log an average of 9-10 hours of study daily for about 2 months. Without this I would not have been able to clear prelims in the changed format. When we see other aspirants study consistently, it creates panic and help immensely in beating procrastination.
Only 6 months are left for prelims this year and believe me if one studies consistently for next 6 months(no of hours not that important) he will be able to clear prelims comfortably(source: I have cleared last 5 prelims by a good margin). Even for an hour, just study daily. Don't let any day go to waste.
Try to log what topics or chapters you have covered and time devoted to study daily.
Forget all the mistakes and lapses of judgement upto now, after all we are humans. We all know in our hearts that lack of discipline or inconsistent study have been the main reason for our failure until now.
Fellow members unite and let us redeem ourselves this year. Even if we fail, we will be happy that we gave our 100%. Nothing in life is more depressing than the question, "What if I had tried harder?"
This is my last attempt(hopefully, keeping fingers crossed) and I am going all guns blazing.
Are you?
