Sorry for making a new thread, could not get much information on the internet. It would be very helpful if someone has any knowledge about the service profile of AFHQ service as most of reserve list candidates would be getting the same. Thanks in Advance!
Mine frnd got into reserve list & his rank is near 80. While filling DAF he put 99 infront of AFHQ service , so in this case which service he will get?
One interesting situation, in 2013, there were 35 AFHQ out of which ~23 were filled in mains list itself, many people choosing it above even IRS(IT) and IRS(C & CE), while in 2014 not even one candidate has choosen it in mains list out of 715 General Category Candidates. Why so sudden change in attitudes?

I think they had mentioned that if you aren't opting for a service by mentioning 99 then you won't be considered for that service, still not sure. Search for changes made in service rules last year.
