All friends from college and office enjoying their new-year party. And me with parent's money, cant afford thez parties which i use to enjoy till last year. everyone goes thorugh such thots or is it just me doing over-thinking

but mann hi mann hamse jalte hai re !
  • Sooner or later, you will have to learn to live at peace with yourself. Inner peace!!!
  • Padh Kar acha LGA ki mein akela nahi jisse maa baap ke paise se party karne ka Mann nahi KIA...hopefully we be this careful with public exchanger's money otherwise corruption ke paise se party Karenge n khoob enjoy Karenge...
  • Congrats narnia
  • Barring the feudal east, IAS officers don't attract any public admiration. Trend is more towards primacy of service delivery as a matter of right and maai-baap culture is a thing of the yore. In the name of accountability there is increasing public n political scrutiny. That shows why even from PMO senior officres r running away. Kaam karo with an RTI n political overhang. As a government employee I hv been a witness to this transition. So those who r wishing to join this service thinking themselves as future "district ka maalik", it's time for a reality check.
  • @Narnia ...can totally undrstnd..left my job in feb 2015..gave mains..n d money thing pinches me too..d wrst part is im nt relly sure on how to judge myself after the mains..cos prelims was objectv n v hd answer keys bt mains me hw do you do that..
  • Slowly and steadily, the myth is breaking down
  • Read my story you will feel better
..I left my job in September. Moved to a new city..no friends. .didn't clear Pre- this is my 4th attempt(wasted first- did even know syallbus)..cleared Pre in 2013- didn't had courage and money to resign from job to study..could not clear pre in 2014..missed by few marks this year also..
But I had time to think about my life post pre result this year..I m 28 today, I graduated in 2007..now I feel I have been taking career too seriously..as one of my batchmate told me during a weekend after listening to my complaints about work- its just a job. after sometime you will stop worrying about it..
    I think he was right..
Similarly UPSC is just an exam. You can clear it but important thing is that you enjoy it or at least not dislike it...I promised to study as much as I can..take a day off each week, meet friends and family..
