Topics to prepare for Interview

friends, though result is yet to come, we can still make a list of topics that we must prepare. i am putting some topics that has come in my mind

1) lokpal bill
2) honour killing (rarest of rare crime, bt some judge said culprit is forced by social conditions)
3) policy paralysis in governance
4) india's look east policy (president visited all south east asia countries)
5) nuclear power plants and public deficit (very important, u are DC..etc)
6) social networks and censorship (delhi high court told google and facebook to ban content)
7) American SOPA & PIPA
8) the classical debate on small state vs big state
9) FDI in retail and is it good?
10) depreciation of rupee
11) UID project and if it is good (in govt itself, home and other ministries not supporting)
12) Maoist problem (last year topic)
13) female infanticide (developed states are having lower sex ratio!)

pls add more topics so that by the time result comes we can discuss more topics. at least we have a list.

    also we must be very thorough with our home state and home district. i have bought book for my state which is used to prepare for state pcs.

    ips walon ke liye rammohan committee ki report important hai. rammohan committee report is important for people with ips option.

    Jarawa tribes issue in Andaman Islands is also important for two issues -

    1) One of the languages is extinct as the last person who spoke that language died last year and

    2)recently tour operators and govt employees were making jarawa tribesmen dance for money. it was national news and union govt has initiated inquiry and action against those responsible

    @Asingh Yes, good questions hav been put above by manish jaisawal. They are also more relevant for UPSC interview candidates from Bihar & UP

    Also, there have been many initiatives in Bihar over a no. of issues like anti-graft, development and law & order

    Bihar Special Courts Act is relevant for ant-graft as it empowers the state to acquire the property of a public servant acquired through means beyond known sources of income.

    In Law & Order terms, Bihar regularly sees vigilantism where a thief or robber is caught by the crowd and beaten to death even before his guilt is proved. the DGP ordered that anyone caught on camera doing this, will be barred from entering into public service/govt job.

    Also, in terms of women empowerment, it was the first to implement 50% resevation to women in Panachyati institutions.
