  • when they introduced csat they declared it like 8 months before
  • IDIOTS!!!!!.......keep on protesting year after year...........First, protest for stupid change in pattern in disillusion that it would help you clear prelims.........then after failing again start protesting as why change was done..........

One day you people have to face the truth that you don't have it in you to clear a competitive exam of this level.....Problem was never with the CSAT or GS.......problem was with your "ATTITUDE" towards life!!!!!
Why @Tanuj is irrational towards this particular issue:
    1. We are not protesting to make us officers. Just asking for a fair chance to compete.
    2. The fairness is to be judged by taking into consideration the whole period since 2011.
    3. Whether one has the ability or not to clear the exam is immaterial. Only a fraction of those appearing finally gets through the exam. And this does not make others less eligible appearing in the exam.
    4. Fairness of exam is closely associated with its result.

It is not my purpose to put counterarguments for the defence of our cause. That has already been done a number of times. What I intend to do is to ensure ourselves that it is the justice that is the prime motive of taking on this crusade. And this is what which should motivate us. It is not the attraction of elite service but the call of justice that should lead us to Janpath. After all, we all are human and it is the desire for justice makes us different from animals.
" fair chance to compete." +111
  • Various exams like CAT, JEE, etc keep on changing their pattern year after year and no one rants. Changes are happening for all the candidates and those who can adapt would qualify. Asking for extra attempts is not a solution. Instead embrace the changes and try to adapt.
This year JEE people have declared change in pattern that will be implemented in 2017. In case of IAS, change in weightage was declared 3 months before exam.

It is easy to tell people to embrace change when you are not at the receiving end.
    lol. so true!

Dude! Tanuj is 100% right (expect for the language maybe) Dont you realise you are getting old and have other responsibilities! Listen to me, if you cant crack prelims in two attempts, best is to stay away from this. Dont make this exam a joke simply because there is a possibility of politicizing this, unlike CAT or JEE. Will you say same thing when service rules change?? You will retire doing this.

Trust me this is just a job the minute you get into service. Even the uniform works with the common man, that's it.

Do something awesome and get into United Nations if you want to do public service. (comes with a white passport, diplomatic immunity and all that jazz you may need to gain more social acceptability and awe)
  • @TELangana Thanks a lot dude! Looks like you are one among those who will protest. Do it buddy. Life is way too long i am guessing for you
  • Why parallel entry in civil service are not been considered by govt.from among experienced private professionals & blocks the entry as freshers after 30-32 years age ? this is wrong.there should not be any upper age limit.

After globalization, deserving young people work in mnc & when they actually realizes the significance of UPSC job, their age reaches about 30-32.This is recent phenomena & upsc have to address this problem by providing these people fare chance by increasing upper age limit.
  • Remove reservations, ban all coaching centers, remove al economic disparities..then ever dz protests wont happen..India is a developing nation wth vast economic imbalances n varying percapita incomes...there is a hell of difference bw a rich student n a poor one,an urban n rural student..every one wil hv only 1.5kg only,n its working nt only depends on d amount of grey matter..n d varied conditions around...watever they socio,economic..wen al dz disparities r erased then it wil b a level playing field 4 every one..dz protests r nt just pattern n etc,..there so many thngs underneath..
  • clearly you dont suffer from any of those. Idealism Vs Realism?
