easy easy mat karo..sabko pata hai ki its easy to pass in hindi and english...mystery ye hai ki kuch eng medium wale english me hi fail ho jate hain har saal..kuchch hindi medium wale hindi me hi.. both inter and intra language failures with ridiculously low marks hain ..kisi ko 25 ..kisi ko 30 aise marks bhare pade hain..explain karna hai to ise karo...easy wala bhashan mat do...
Even i wrote hindi in mains for the first time after 10 years ...my fingers were shaky while writing hindi after a decade ..still managed to pass comfortably ...i have passed in hindi thrice consecutively without any preparation or being associated with hindi in any manner apart from informal interaction with friends as we all do.. so there is nothing to brag about it as someone above tried hard to show off...
.but not all are lucky enough to survive the language papers even after some preparation...failure of an english medium candidate in hindi can be explained a bit but what about those eng medium aspirants who fail in english itself, even miserably, its inexplicable.
Those who have passed the hindi language paper before, in the passage that is to be translated from English to Hindi, words like philosopher, contemporary, medieval etc are to be translated.
My Hindi vocabulary is extremely weak. I do not know the Hindi words for these.
How do I go about translating? Or shall I leave the question?

english to hindi translation is the toughest and most time consuming task...attempt it at last. If you dont know the exact hindi word , use simple words e.g. if u dont know what stands for 'contemporary' in hindi, use "aaj kal" or "vartaman" ,
similarly 'philosopher' means 'darshanik', but if u dont know, use ' lekhak or vicharak ' anythng that can help you make ur sentence complete and at the same time convey some meaning.
medieval stands for 'madhyakalin', if u dont know, just use 'itihas'
will it be ok if i write an essay in english in the rough work and translate it back?? p.s....i have lost a battle once against hindi...but the battle is on... and to ppl who think that performance is proportional to marks in this paper are living in a fool's paradise....i had completed the whole paper sincerely......

Now dats scary. Where do u think it went wrong? I am pretty bad in hindi. Specially spelling and vocabulary.suggest me something
One of my friends got IRTS in 2013 exam. In 2014 he failed in hindi paper despite being from hindi medium. My neighbour n an acquaintance from coaching failed in hindi despite studying it till 12th class. I studied this paper from Saraswati maanak hindi vyakaran book.
Also, due to devnagari script u have to lift pen several times while writing a word. So speed problem is always there. In roman script u can use cursive handwriting n enhance speed.
Please don't take it casually. It will prove very costly.

I failed in Hindi in my first attempt. In my second one, i wrongly interpreted the meaning of the essay and wrote God knows what, but i passed.
To clear hindi, read the idioms etc. They alone fetch you 40 marks. Essay etc. are easy. Don't worry about exact translation. If you do not know a word, just write the closest word you know. You can even translate the word from english to Hindi. Just be simple, clean and crisp. You will clear the exam.
