friends,,result of upsc pre was released on 12 oct,,it was a shock for many senior as well as serious players..
1st time in history the selection was based on one exam paper...many deserving aspirants may be out by decimals or max 1-2 marks..last year they released 17k list..and many in top 100 were the ones who were scoring 1-5 marks more than cut off..
with this nature of paper,,we should demand to release extra list of 1k students atleast as the paper was mere lucky draw....kindly respond fast..time is running out

yeah it is an unreasonable demand, why stop at 1k, what would be the basis for it, and if upsc does this then those left after the revision will protest. Won't happen anyway

It can happen.As happened in many state PSC xam like uttarakhand. We must form a group of like minded people and argue to PMO.its total injustice that just 50% paper is evaluated..announcement made just 3 months before

Injustice is a strong word, yes it was unfair to change the pattern just 3 months b4 the exam,secondly please don't compare UPSC with state PSC, anyway you guys carry on, don't mind my comment I was just sharing my opinion

Yes it was..evaluating just 50% of the papers is injustice.. Ask any lawyer they will say it.

Its complete injustice as question was factual....like ordinary gk not upsc like peace award niti ayog jan dhan yojna fortlezadec....reports et al.....any rattamar can score.....

why not protest for resuming csat. They could have reduced the weightage of paper2, but making it a qualifying one is equivalent to removing it all together. Any tom dick and harry can score 67 in P2.
Evaluation based on paper1 only has made it the game of luck only. I know many aspirants who worked very hard, who gave interview last year, who where in final list, not making into final list.
The decision to scrap p2 is a biased and draconian for majority of serious aspirants,

rather than petitioning for this we should fight to bring csat back next year! atleast we can demand 200 marks GS and 100 marks CSAT! so it would be fair for all and it would be testing all required skills of a bureaucrat! pls reply guys .

yeah #bringbackcsat \m/ , 100 marks for csat would be enough to weed out the junk
