I also have this doubt, whether to change my optional for 2016 to say geography or economics. But, I read somewhere that the new committee formed to review cs exam will look for bringing parity among optional subjects and there is a speculation that they may even remove optional papers. In that scenario, PubAd will become a common paper and we will be at an advantage. I am not sure how logical my conclusion is.. I request the veterans to please give insight...

yes you are right, but this is the time to take decision and present situation of pub ad is biased against it. Even i am thinking to opt Geography bcz of my interest in this subject.
Wasn't there liberal marking in pubad this year? I thought around 12 have got rank under 100 which is only second to political science.

i have seen maximum marks around 270. i know thats a good score but comparing it with maximum marks of other subjects it is still below them. might be they got rank bcz of their score in other subject, that i dont know exactly but seeing the overall performance of this optional scares me. and thats d reason i am confused.

I think Ira mam suggested that one should take any other subject except geo and public administration as optional. Overall, pol science had more ranks. Rest I dont know. Since I hav most of the texts of pubad, and after the news about committee, I thought I may stick with pubad. But still unsure.
