Hindi Literature As Optional For 2016

hey guys!!!!!! joined forumias moments ago...feeling good to be a part of it
i was wondering to take Hindi literature as my optional for 2016 attempt but ended up on forumias while googling some stuff about it. So thought it would be great to confined my search just to forumias for better results. LOL
1.I would like to hear what do seniors n newbies have to say about this optional
2.It would look good to me if you can share book-list,strategies,coaching material etc )
P.S-1. i have studied Hindi till class 10th only

I am also thinking about Hindi literature as my optional for CSE 2018.. Started preparing GS a few days ago .. Searching for toppers' marks in hindi literature from English medium and engineering background..

I think that 250 plus marks can be obtained in this subject through holistic coverage of the syllabus once.

I am confused between Hindi literature and Mathematics.. These two subjects were my strong point in school days.. I have sufficient time for preparation but not enough being a working professional.. That's why I am finding Hindi literature better than mathematics.. Both are scoring but mathematics will take double effort for just 20-30 extra marks.

Last year I could not clear prelims.
In my view, preparation is just OK. I have just completed syllabus by now, so could not write any tests. Currently, I am practicing previous 3 years papers.
If time permits after revision and all, I could just go for reading Drishti's Test series-model answers available in the market.
