Type of questions expected in GS Paper 2 &3 - Static or Current?

edited October 2015 in Preparation FAQs
Guys, keeping in view the mostly factual nature of Paper 1 in Prelims GS as against the Current Affairs oriented MAINS GS Papers 2 and 3 of 2013 and 14, how much time should we devote to the static aspects of Polity, governance and economics?

Comments

  • My point being, should we go back to Laxmikanth to mug up the differences in pardoning powers of the President and Governor, or should we focus on current events only and relate them to syllabus as far as Mains GS paper 2 and 3 are concerned.
  • Even gs 2 3 were based on recent affairs last mains .. I think covering lakshmikanth will only satisfy us , other than that am not sure how much it can supplement .. still its best if we have best of both worlds
  • I think following retrospective approach fr paper 2 n 3 will b more useful than focusing on completion of each n every topic... e.g. focusing on ports n roads in d infrasture segment of economy paper will be more beneficial due to current sagarmala n bharatmala projects, than trying to cover each n every bit of infrasture as per syllabus of paper 3...
  • # infrastructure..
  • Bharathmala kaunsa project hai ? Any reference?
  • Bharatmala project is regarding development of robust infrastrural road network along international border areas of India; and its linkages with costal areas which comes within a framework of sagarmala project,as proposed by new govt..
  • Infrastructural
  • Will the recommendations of the arc reports do? Or is there a need to go through the entire content of the selected reports?
