Bhai, ek baat batao. Man is an omnivorous animal. This is a fact. You ancestors were meat eaters, irrespective of whether they were Brahmins or dalits, Hindus or Muslims.
If you really want to talk about life, even plants have life. When you pluck fruits, eat them, don't they die? When you cut trees, with which paper is made, don't they die?
Anyway, i understand your point. Animal slaughter does have an ethical issue.
The problem is, i have to get 120 gms of protein per day to maintain my body. It is not possible without chicken. It is not possible on a vegetarian diet while keeping fat at a minimum. Please don't argue in this issue. I have done enough research. You can see the result. When you eat chicken everyday, every meal, it becomes more than just a tasty dish. It becomes a compulsion, like drinking milk every day. Or you might like eating choole bature every day. Chicken is my thing.
If they find artificial meat, which i think will be done soon, then i will choose that. Till then, let me choose my own menu, dress, anything till it does not cause harm to another human. When it causes physical harm to someone else, then i have crossed the line. This is the basis of justice in today's world based on individualism. It is the basis of our constitution. Read constitutional debates. So please don't argue that individualism is a western concept.
And don't say that kisi aur ko kyo nahi khaa jate(why dont you eat another human).
I think we can all agree that human life is more valuable than chicken. If you disagree, i think you are one of the people who was complicit in today's religious grotesque misadventures in UP. They also thought there is no difference between a human and a cow.
Man is many things. It's only man who fights a war, it's only a man who murders, it's man who rapes, it's man who saves, it's man who sacrifices, it's man who gives UPSC, it's man who takes...so what?
Man is many things my friend. Thing is man has to eat.
Just because man did many things wrong in past..how can it justify doing same in present? For example waging a war..
And this argument about plant and microbe life is stupid. Here it's about animals. Human survival depends on plant's products not on animal's meat.
As for as technical point of availability of protein is concerned. See before 70s a large chunk of humanity was dying just for the lack of food and many more were malnourished..what did we do? increased the production of cereals. Why can't we increase that of pulses and beans and milk products.
Human life is surly more valuable than animal but this thing arises when we are compelled to murder one of them either human or animal.
if you have any ethical or moral point in killing the animals..pls put forth otherwise rest are unsustainable.
Rss and bjp are polarizing people on name of religion, this incident is a bolt on India democracy
Why blaming rss bjp only? Each and every party is busy doing it..taali ek haath se nhi bajti bhaiya..owaisi bhai saab ko bhool gye aap? Just hoping it shud not get worse but the thing is both sides are equally involved..
. I have no sympathy for owaisi also but just because somebody is doing wrong it doesn't give u right to do the same ,and I blame rss and bjp because they act like custodian of hindusim which. Is very diverse where meat eating has been phenomenon since ages and irrespective of who is government this particular incident was instigated by sangh parivar at ground level and usually victims of such incidents are poor and vulnerable irrespective of religion ,because they cant go to 5star hotel kill people who eat beef steak ,so my concern is victims are always poor and helpless
