IGNOU should start a course for CSE preparation

edited May 2013 in Miscellaneous
Owing to the major changes in the general studies syllabus , UPSC left us on mercy of the Coachingwalas. I think IGNOU should start a course for CSE preparation. Please guide me how can i approach the IGNOU authorities?

  • I am doubtful that IGNOU will ever start offering a Bachelor's Degree in CSE Preparation. You are welcome to try though.
  • Also, on the contrary UPSC has tried to dissolve the cult of the coaching classes with the changes in the pattern, instead of making them more necessary.

Yes i know. But the fact is how to cope with so much syllabus. The coaching helps in minimising efforts of the candidates to find the appropriate sources for preparation.

I have not mentioned as a GRADUATE course. By course i meant preparation of books which will cover the whole syllabus of CSE.

IGNOU is a university that offers degrees and certificate courses. Its not in a university's mandate to be concerned about some competitive exam preparation. A compilation of all the necessary notes of IGNOU for the entire syllabus is something only a jobless aspirant with too much time on his hands can make.

Personally, I am heavily reliant on IGNOU material for my preparation, especially for Pol Sci.

I am not sure about IGNOU, but UGC seems to be interested in training civil services aspirants. check out these videos. We can try asking them to launch a full fledged online course for GS

  • I think IGNOU already has.....its upto us to do the gem-mining
