Hello ngt brds Aap sbka diplomatic immunity p kya vichar hai ? There should be changes or should we maintain status quo
Our resident GS goddess has suggested ki an international diplomatic court should be established to adjudicate all cases against all diplomats.. Toh that should happen and status quo should remain.
I personally feel immunity should be waived by the diplomat's country in cases of heinous crimes once prima facie evidence supporting the diplomat's involvement is found. Although liable to misuse, it can also act as a deterrent for the erring diplomats.
Night. There is a 20 year old girl here and she is being made a bakra because the senior consultant under whose care she is, has injected her with trial drugs. Sir ji is writing a paper and wants data. He did this last time also, the 23 year old wali cancer patient I told you about. I don't know why i am his favourite murga for this stuff. Trial drug daloge to body react karegi hi. She has been very serious since last night. I an supposed to ensure that she has bronchoscopy done now. Kafi blood nikal chuka hai so given her a break. He said he wants the data by 2 jitna bhi khoon aye... Wo subah se ghar se nai aye. Main raat se ghar nai gaya.
Aur sir, I am reading ethics ) )
Doctor ji, Just my humble opinion. I dont know if giving a trial drug is legal or not. But if its illegal and you are saying that the patient is suffering unnecessarily, i believe that you should do something about it so that the patient does not suffer unnecessarily. Pehle hi bimaar hai upar se reaction. :-SS .

Hello ngt brds Aap sbka diplomatic immunity p kya vichar hai ? There should be changes or should we maintain status quo
Vienna conventions on diplomatic and consular immunity are compiled after due thought process and my opinion is that the rules for immunity are well laid out and does not need unnecessary changes.
The real problem lies in the implementation, vienna conventions expects that a country waives off the immunity on a case to case basis by recognizing the gravity of crime. But unfortunately, due to very nature of international politics, powerful countries tend to misuse such conventions and justice cant be offered to the victims.
I am not sure if such a court already exists, if it doesnt exist, then there should be an international fast track court for delivering quick justice in cases of violation of vienna convention. That would most probably solve the issue.

My personnel opinion: better to maintain status quo: 1. It will affect diplomatic relationship between two nations. As matter is very complex and complicated in nature, should be reviewed by joint committee set-up by both nations.
2. It can also affect sovereignity of a nation as the matter reviewed by outside organisation such as idea mooted International diplomatic court . Most of the time, nations involved in that case of diplomatic immunity , did not agree with the verdict in true sense. Need to analyse the Institution like "International Court Of Justice.
3.Any changes would be possible regarding Diplomatic Immunity if general consensus to be made by most of the nations especially at UN Assembly. But funding , issue of sovereignity , lack of political will be major hurdle for this.
4.Status of Diplomatic Immunity may undermine the Position of representive of a Nation as there status raise up. Moreover, They are appointed by Representive of a nation.
