How many are applying for rbi?

I don't know. Have to check. Can you give me a suggestion? Is it worth shifting to rbi job if I am already making more than double the money in my present job. I know it's not just about money but it feels very bad to move to a lower salary if the difference is very big. That's not motivating me enough to apply for the job. IAS I am okay to shift because it's prestigious. I am happy with my job presently.

@Hameeda in which sector you work? twice the rbi salary means something really cool like on scale of google or facebook, lets say 25 lac plus CTC , just curious to know, if you are ok telling it ?

25 lakh CTC is a good salary in india, no doubt, there are better salaries also, far better running into half a crore or more a year, i think in such cases leaving lucrative jobs for a position in RBI is a purely individual choice, if i was there, i would not leave my well paid job for a position in RBI

rbi is launchpad to launch yourself to big investment banks and other international agencies too >-

it all depends on your priorities and what you want from life, there was an RBI officer, a history grad who did his MPP from Harvard and is currently heading Boston Consultancy Group South Asia, so yes RBI can be seen as a launch pad, but if an individual is comfortable in his/her well paid job and treats it as a viable second career option after IAS, then I dont think there is any use resigning a lucrative job for RBI

@Mandark see first of all apne personal grudges kabhi nhi laane chahiye online ldai main.
Next thing, did I ever pleaded innocence in front of mods, ki spare me....reddy is the culprit ...no!!
I asked mods so many times ..I tagged them, pmed them that night...did they said something?...no!

Hero tu bnle bhai, agar himmat hai toh. Nhi hai, toh atleast Jo theek kre,toh discourage nhi krna chahiye.

Moreover, tumme himmat hai agar yeh naa behen ki gaali sunne ki...toh suno..I have zero tolerance towards this.
Aur, edhr issue hai..ki I m not supporting leloch ..I never did. I just said fuhrer on pm..( which he started just now) is that lelouch should have been banned at the very first instance.but Fuhrer's action being a mod was wrong.
Mods have some responsibility.

Matlab itna dikhava bhi mat kar yaar. Yeh "privacy" ka natak to bade zor shor se kar raha hai ab. Us raat kahan gaya tha yeh tera concern? Aur us din aur aaj ke incident mein similarity bhi kafi hai. Koi tujhe abuse kare to you are justified in putting up their photo (fuhrer ne to naam dala tha) par koi agar mod ko abuse kare to woh kuch na kare?

Ghanta yaar i can understand people value their privacy but hiding behind your anonymous profile name and abusing a person right left and center is wrong, Fuhrer gave innumerable warnings to Lelouch but when the volley of abuses became unbearable, Fuhrer had to do something drastic, I have been at the receiving end of Lelouch's unacceptable behaviour, he has no respect for other human beings, he has no respect for authority, he insults people and instigates others to insult individuals he does not like, i feel he is a sociopath

1. do not like to be a part of forum that encourages illegal insider information.
2. some supermod/admin helped fuhrer in identity disclosure.
a. there is no transparency in access of data.
b. my genuine query is also silenced by closing the thread arbitarily. ( http://discuss.forumias.com/discussion/comment/634400/#Comment_634400)
c. there is no option to delete the profile.

Thank you root, i know you wouldnt lose much after i quit this platform, but atleast i cared about setting things right. You would definitely lose someone who cared for the forum.

Toh lelouch ko kro ban... Who is supporting him anyway.
But, acc to me, Fuhrer's action ( especially when he had an advantage of being a mod & connections with a supermod) was thoroughly wrong. I know fuhrer won't understand this, and will keep abusing me on pm.
