There is an concept (or used to be) that the king can do no wrong and this provision was continuously abused, fed of this the barons of England revolted against the king and forced him to sign Magna carta. the concept that no one is above the rule established by law has its genesis in Magana carta but there are many other concepts which we use very commonly were in magna carta .for more info you can refer to Wikipedia. It would be surprising for most of us to know that even after 800 years of its living magna carta is still equally. Indian supreme court, Supreme court of USA and the ICJ(Rome) have very commonly used the learnings and elements of Magna carta to draw analogies to present day cases. Sorry if this is off topic: How is isolation of some ancient aboriginal tribes such as those in andman justified on the pretext of preserving their culture , preventing genetic contamination etc ? Is this isolation not pushing them away from modern medical and scientific facilities that may in fact help them from getting extinct?
1) culture should not be looked from an ethnocentric view (a view which makes one own culture superior to others).
2) Isolation of these tribes is important due to a number of reasons viz non interference in their culture. respect for their way of living. Look for us development in science and technology is very important because we have a culture where getting more developed and efficient is good . but the same may not be true for other societies like a food collecting society.
Similarly our constitution has provided certain safeguards to these tribes owing to respect for their pristine culture. it is like we are more threat full to them then those disease.
3) Many aboriginal societies have changed with introduction of technology , changes have been observed in the way they hunt , store food and produce daily important commodities.
4) when we say that by integrating them we will help them it is similar to colonizing them which has ethical implications and moreover they are happy in their life we cannot say they are not living a good life only because they are devoid of using the technology.
5) the global experience of assimilating aboriginals has not been very good often they are discriminated.

the current form of democratic institutions are certainly western. And since europeans dominated the world for so long, their form of democratic values are the most popular .
@kgips sorry buddy bt I don't agree with u here ! as far as I know Democratic values are there here in India from mahabharta times! we can't say they are purely western.There is one story also there in ncert sociology bookwhich proves this point.

my opinion: 1) they are on the verge of extinction 2) they are too primitive and can get civilization shock if they are connected to rest of the world 3) GoI doesn't have a proper policy on how to deal with them, nor enough studies have been done on them. 4) some anthropologists etc.. may argue to preserve their culture and identity which could be lost in any time.
