Total Training @ 24 months including various attachments = 10 month basic training at BPSPA + 3 months Commando training at Chandaka + 8 months field training + 3 months gap analysis & PoP at BPSPA
2. Future Prospects & Responsibilities two most imp lucrative prospects: IPS promotion in 8 years. Even before 8 years there are chances of getting S.P. (OPS rank) depending on vacancy. To attract more n more lady candidates 2 years early promotional benefit is there. Challenging job. Both Indoor & Outdoor equally important. Maximum focus on Legal knowledge since it will be a supervising job. Additionally physical training is also necessary for anti-insurgency/anti-naxal Combat Operations bcoz Initial posting pakkkkka in LWE affected areas. aur ye log kahte hain ki Direct DySp recruit karne ka yahi sabse important reason hai. Anyways, Crime Branch and Cyber Wing are promising areas to excel in, especially for Gen-Y. According to some senior IPS officers, promotion upto IG rank is for sure. but if one maintains a good track record he may go upto Addl DG. It's also heard, of course from our faculties, dat earlier in 70s some Direct DySP recruits have also gone upto the level of DGP. Promotional avenues in OPS, as they believe, are much better than those in OAS cadre. But my opinion is that Administration deals with 22 different departments thereby gives a taste of diversity. but if one really enjoys challenges day in and day out go for OPS. That's why I didn't appear OCS 2015 mains. aur v bahut kuchh hain, par not able to mention here now..
but i did not get that. did somebody parody my conversation with OPSC guy as Pappu pam pam? I dont remember. Btw paappu ama gan pakha loka...i feel happy to listen him use our colloquial language and local places
